So I lost 40 euros buying a game that DOESN’T work and Kinguin isn’t willing to assist. After heading back to Kinguin they came to the conclusion “that the can’t overrule the sellers required information” so if I am unable to get this information I would just have bad luck. But when I showed this, they said they couldn’t help me since I bought it from Kinguin. Instead of receiving this information, they ALSO needed a proof of purchase etc. were all needed.Īfter I gave all this information over the course of 3 days they came to the conclusion I needed to go to Bethesda and ask them for the activation date from the key. A lot of screenshots, including proof the key didn’t work, transaction history etc. I contacted Kinguin and they said they needed proof. So I thought, all good, I’ll just try to get a new one with the buyer protection I got with the game. I tried to enter this key three times, checking if I had made a mistake in how I typed it, but I hadn’t. And how wrong I was.Īfter the payment went through, I got an email containing a key, possibly from a store bought game. I already was pretty worried since I know about the bad reputation these companies have, but I was low on money so I decided this would be the best option, and since they have this thing called “Buyer Protection” I thought I would be safe from fake keys. Tuesday I made the mistake to buy the new fallout 76 game from Kinguin.
